WHDI wireless transmission system

SDI and HDMI, 700 meters

S-4904 is the broadcast industry wireless system, includes an S-4904T transmitter and an S-4904R receiver, with WHDI (OFDM) technology, supports uncompressed 3G/HD/SD-SDI and HDMI wirelessly transmitted in 700 meters scale, and with less than 1ms latency. The system is pure hardware connection, plug and play build-up, which is widely used in on-site shooting and director monitoring.

The S-4904 supports SDI and HDMI embedded audio (ch-1 & ch-2) transmission.

The S-4904 wireless system runs at 5.1-5.9GHz License-free operation frequency. The frequency bands are user configurable and support at most 4 wireless channels in one location.
The radio power is less than 63mW and will not do harm to human bodies.

You can set several S-4904R receivers at the same frequency bands as the 1 S-4904T transmitter to enable the multicast mode.

The transmitter S-4904T is equipped with V-mount or Gold mount plates, to be easily fixed on cameras and attached with batteries.
The receiver S-4904R is equipped with V-mount or Gold mount plates to be powered by batteries.
Both the transmitter and receiver can also be powered via the 5.5/2.1mm pole DC in socket of 6.5-17V input.

How to Get the Best Effect of Wireless Transmission


(1) Set the antennas of S-4904T and S-4904R at different angles to extend the transmission distance and achieve stable transmission quality.
(2) Set the receiver S-4904R as high as possible.

How to Use Several Sets in One Location

There’re 0-9 frequency channels that can be dial switch by users.
In one location, to avoid interference to each other, we recommended:
2 sets transmission:

Set 3: channel 4
We don’t suggest that use 4 or more sets of wireless transmission in one location.

Pair the Transmitter and Receiver


The FLOW wireless Tx and Rx are already paired in factory. You can directly use.
But if you have several units and mixed up the Tx and Rx, or if you need to do multi-cast, you need to re-pair by yourself. Pairing steps:

1 Tx to 1 Rx
(1) Power on the Tx and connect SDI or HDMI source to Tx.
(2) Power on the Rx and connect with a monitor.
(3) Pull the Rx joystick right to “CONF/PAIR” page, and make sure the CONF is “HOST” mode*. Pull the joystick down to select “PAIR” – “YES” and press the joystick to confirm.
(4) Pull the Tx joystick right to “PAIR” page, and pull down to select “YES”, and press the joystick to confirm.
(5) Then the “Link” indicators of both Tx and Rx are blinking, and when they stopped blinking, pairing succeed and the Rx outputs video.
* If the Rx is “SLAV” mode, please change to “HOST” mode and restart the Rx to apply.

1 Tx to Multi Rx
(1) Successfully pair a Tx with an Rx first, and keep them powered on.
(2) Power a new Rx on, and pull the Rx joystick right to “CONF/PAIR” page, and change the CONF to “SLAV” mode, and restart the Rx.
(3) Pull the Rx joystick right to “CONF/PAIR” page again, and pull joystick down to select “PAIR” – “YES”, and press the joystick to confirm.
(4) Pull the Tx joystick right to “PAIR” page, and pull down to select “YES”, and press the joystick to confirm.
(5) Then the “Link” indicators of both Tx and new Rx are blinking, and when they stopped blinking, pairing succeed and the new Rx outputs video simultaneously.
(6) Set more Rx to “SLAV” mode and pair them together by above steps.

Pair the Transmitter and Receiver


The CW-H150 wireless transmitter and receiver are already paired in factory. You can directly use without re-pair.
But if you have several units and mixed up the transmitters and receivers, or if you need to do multi-cast, you need to re-pair by yourself. Pairing steps:
(1) CW-H150 Transmitter powered on, and HDMI in connected with camera or video source device.
(2) CW-H150 Receiver powered on, and HDMI out connected with a monitor. The monitor will display “Searching for Camera Unit” then.
(3) Press and hold the Pair button on Receiver, till the monitor displays “Please Press Registration Button on Camera Unit”, release the Receiver Pair button.
(4) Press and hold the Pair button on Transmitter, till the monitor displays “Registration in Progress”, release the Transmitter Pair button.
(5) When progress bar finished, the Transmitter and Receiver are paired successfully.

How to Get the Best Effect of Wireless Transmission


(1) Set the Transmitter and Receiver antennas straight up, even if they are laid down installed. 
(2) Set the Receiver as high as possible.
(3) Avoid walls, trees, water and any blockage as best as you can.

WHDI wireless transmission

SDI 300 meters (LOS)


CW-S300 wireless system is based on WHDI wireless technology, 5.1-5.9GHz license free bands, DFS comply, , supports uncompressed 3G/HD-SDI to transmit 300 meters (Line-of-Sight) distance, and less than 1 millisecond latency. The system is pure hardware connection, plug and play, which is widely used in director monitoring, drone, ropeway camera, steadicam etc.

In Line-of-Sight, CW-S300 supports non-compressed 3G/HD-SDI 300 meters (1000 feet) transmission, with less than 1 millisecond latency.

Embedded Audio/Timecode Transmission


CW-S300 supports SDI embedded audio (CH1&2) transmission, and supports SDI timecode transmission.

 

5.1-5.9GHz Frequency


DFS comply


CW-S300 wireless system works at 5.1-5.9GHz License-free frequency, and support DFS (Dynamic Frequency Switch). The transmitter and receiver are paired to work. Support 3-4 pairs wireless channels to work together in one location.
The wireless output power is less than 100mW, which will not do harm to human bodies.

Multicast Setting

Users can Pair up to 4 Receivers with 1 Transmitter, to enable 1 Transmitter to multi Receivers multicast mode.
